NYE Inspo

Happy NYE! Can you believe today is the last day of 2016?! This year has been filled with the highest ups I've ever had....from experiencing life in China, to attending events during Milan Fashion Week, to meeting new friends around the world. If 2017 is anything like 2016, I cannot wait to see what the year has in store! If you need some last minute NYE outfit inspo, I'm here to help! Go grab that little black dress that's in the back of your closet and pair it with some sparkly accessories...1) You'll save money instead of buying a new outfit that you'll only wear once and 2) You can personalize your LBD by adding your own flare through earrings, a clutch, a pop of lip color, or even a faux fur stole. It's a win win! Wherever you go tonight, I hope you all have a great New Year celebration with friends and family! Cheers to 2017!!

Birthday Outfit

Merry late Christmas to all my readers!! I hope you all had the best holiday with your family and friends. Thank you for all of the birthday wishes on Instagram! My birthday was yesterday and I turned the big 2-1!!! CHEERS to being legal! I had a great day...I had a photo shoot with my new lens, went shopping with my Mom, had Chipotle for lunch, made a cake with purple icing, and went to the liquor store to buy my first legal alcohol purchase (yes, I bought a pink bottle of sparkling rose). I also wore my sparkly gold pumps to celebrate. Can you tell I'm a diva?? Haha! Anyway, it feels great to finally be home from Italy. I am enjoying my iced coffee from Dunkin Donuts, and of course catching up with all of my friends and family who I haven't seen for the last four months. My heart is so full to say the least. Thank you all again for the wishes!!

P.S. This outfit would be perfect for a casual New Year's event! I especially love the pumps because they add some fun to a simple outfit.

Christmas Party Gown

Guten morgen from Austria! I just arrived in Vienna about five hours ago. I'm touring the city tomorrow, then heading to Salzburg for a few days! I'm super excited to go to all of the Christmas markets! Only t-minus 9 days until Santa comes! If any of you have any upcoming Christmas parties or formal events, I have the PERFECT dress for you! I recently bought this dress from BooHoo a few weeks ago. I knew I wanted to do a blog post on Christmas formal event attire, and this dress really stood out to me! I love how elegant and chic it is, but still a little edgy with the plunging neckline and off the shoulder style. Aside from the style of the dress, I think what really makes this look stand out to me is the hair and makeup. I followed this easy formal side bun tutorial and used a dark red lipstick. These little touches added the perfect finish to the look! P.S. My gown is only $35 and can be shipped in time for Christmas or sooner!

Thanks for reading as always!! Be sure to follow me on Instagram @anewerkatintown and my blog on Bloglovin'.

Christmas Outfit + Best European Christmas Markets

Let the countdown begin...t-minus 16 days until I'm home, and t-minus 19 days until Christmas. This year, I'm more excited for the holiday season than I've ever been for a few reasons:
1) I'm SO excited to see my family and friends, and drink an iced coffee from Dunkin Donuts.
2) I LOVE LOVE LOVE going to all of the Christmas markets in Europe (see details below).
3) My birthday is the day after Christmas and I'll be turning 21 this year (sorry in advance Mom!).

What are you all excited for this holiday season? Whatever it may be, I've got the cutest, and easiest outfit for all of your holiday parties and get-togethers! This OTS top paired with flare jeans and heeled booties is comfortable, but still chic and stylish...and my top is only $22!! I wore this outfit to one of the Christmas markets here in Milan and it was perfect and fit for the occasion.

Since these photos were taken at a local Christmas market, I thought I'd share my favorite Christmas markets that I've visited in Europe so far:
  • Berlin, Germany - If I had to pick one place to travel for Christmas markets, I would pick Berlin. I seemed to stumble upon a new market every five minutes!! My favorite was the Market at the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church.
  • Zurich, Switzerland -  I visited Zurich two times this semester, and loved the Christmas markets here. My favorite was the Market at the Zurich Opera House. I ate locally-made raclette with potatoes and it was OUTSTANDING!
  • Milan, Italy - Okay don't judge me, but I have been going to a new Christmas market in Milan every day! There are SO many all over the city. I am in Christmas Market heaven haha! Here's a link to the ones I've gone to and will be going to: Milan Christmas Markets
Next week, I'm also going to the Christmas markets in:
  • Munich, Germany
  • Vienna, Austria
  • Salzburg, Austria

I've got a few more fun holiday outfit posts coming up, so stay tuned and follow my adventures on Instagram @anewerkatintown. (:
